Concept
This project involved designing a series of three infographic posters for third-grade students focused on Michigan apples. The concept uses a pixel-art visual style inspired by video games to make educational content feel interactive and engaging. Each poster is structured like progressing through game levels, guiding students downward through information in a way that feels exploratory rather than instructional. Pixel environments and playful visuals were used to create familiarity and sustain attention while delivering subtle educational content.
Description
The final outcome is a three-poster infographic series that presents information about Michigan apples through layered visuals, simplified language, and clear hierarchy appropriate for a young audience. Each poster functions as a "level," combining pixel-style backgrounds, icons, and typography to reinforce learning through visual progression. The designs were created using a combination of Procreate for custom pixel illustrations and Adobe Illustrator for layout, typography, and final production, resulting in educational posters that balance fun, clarity, and age-appropriate information design.
