Concept
This project involved designing a full promotional package for a fictional lecture and guest critique by Peter Saville, a British graphic designer known for bold minimalism, abstract form, and his influential work for Factory Records and Joy Division. The concept focused on capturing the essence of Saville's design language and translating it into a contemporary promotional system. The visual direction draws from his use of grids, controlled compositions, and striking contrast while maintaining clarity and legibility for event communication.
Description
The project resulted in a cohesive set of print-based promotional materials designed to advertise the fictional event across multiple formats. Emphasis was placed on strong typographic hierarchy, visual consistency, and adaptable layouts that could scale across different deliverables. Research into Saville's work informed the design decisions, ensuring subtle references to his aesthetic while keeping the materials accessible and engaging for audiences unfamiliar with his legacy. The same core content was restructured and formatted for real-world print applications.
